EL SALBANEO aka
SAINT SEGATO born in Sale, he graduated in '71 from the State Art Institute for Ceramics in Nove. He begins to experience the "high temperature": 1280 ° with the stoneware first and then the porcelain starting a research work, both formal ... and quality.
His activity as a "curious" ceramist is expressed in the production of objects that range from the "clean" design of the first objects of use to the ironic vein that began with the furnishing accessories .... which continues with the "cuchi" (the Venetian "whistles") ... from the compactness of the refractory, with which it realizes the "constructions" ... to the lightness of the porcelain .....
with which he develops a series of objects ... mostly "bright" .... that "challenge" the porcelain itself. The word "Salbaneo" in the ancient and rural Venetian tradition indicates a small being, a little magical and a little joker, an impertinent and playful little devil, who makes jokes and "never stands still". And it is precisely this image linked to play and movement that is most faithful to the artist's works.
