MARIANO FUGA was born in Nove, Vicenza.
He studied at the Institute of Art for Ceramics in Nove and later at the Academy of Fine Arts in Venice attending Alberto Viani's sculpture course. He taught Ceramic Design at the State Art Institute of Gargnano (BS).
His interest in the representation of the human figure takes shape in the creation of flying figures, hovering figures, figures who try to be kites, divers who are more or less convinced, worried athletes, often placed on columns, formations of different clays that seem shaped by time, as if they had been reduced to a minimum by an invisible rotation that consumed them leaving only the essentials.
